Leaving the house in light, borderline makeup is what dreams are made of on busy days. A touch of lip gloss, a little lash makeup, and a touch of tinted moisturizer, and you’re ready to hit the world. However, if you want to travel back to basics. There’s one beauty ritual you should always make sure is top-notch before you head out: your brows.
Let’s face it: your eyebrows make up your entire face. Whether or not you pluck off the thin side or allow them to grow wild. Those little bows check how your makeup can look. but it’s a bit like finding a date on the lighter, it seems like it’s just not possible to try to DIY your eyebrows. Curious how to make your brows plucked arches every time? Here are some ways to make your brows stand out.
8 Types Of How to Properly Groom Brows!
Tweeze After You Shower
While we all recognize that plucking your eyebrows is often a real pain in the butt. There is a way to make the entire method much less painful. Once you’re in a hot shower, grab your favorite tweezers and pluck your brows. Nice, warm water helps open up the follicles, allowing hair to fall out more easily. You can also take Advil or Motrin a half-hour beforehand to reduce inflammation and pain.
Align Your Brows With Your Face Shape
When it comes to your brows, there are a few rules to remember before plucking your arches. Use an eyebrow pencil as a guide to help you find the start, end, and arch of your brows. start} of your forehead should start right where your naris starts. Hold the pencil vertically against the bridge of your nose and across the top of your nose to help you find the starting line (essentially, you want the inner edges of your eyebrows to match the outer bridge of your nose). To find your bow, place the pencil on the tip of your nose and roll it straight across your pupil; that’s where the natural lines of your bow should be.
Finally, to go for the top of your brow, simply take the pencil AND, at an angle, place it against the top of your nose and eye. If the end of the brow tail reaches where the pencil ends, then the brows are the right length. If your eyebrow is too long, remove some of those hairs.
Tweeze With Good Lighting
If there’s one thing you want to make sure of before plucking your brows, it’s that you have the right illumination. The worst thing you can do is pluck your brows in a poorly lit bathroom when you’re guaranteed to make a lovely mess. Take advantage of natural light whenever possible. Place a hand mirror in the brightest area of your home so you can see all of the stray hairs you wish to get rid of.
Tweeze in the Direction of Your Hair Growth
If you see a small region where you just tweezed, it suggests you didn’t pull out the entire follicle. To stop this next time, pull it back in the direction of your hair growth so you can easily capture the entire strand.
Don’t Use a Magnifying Mirror
While it may initially seem like an honest plan, plucking your brows with a magnifying mirror is one of the worst things you can do. The mirror is often misleading and makes you believe you have more hair follicles than you do, which can lead to accidentally plucking too much hair, and no one wants to play that game. To stop this, use a standard mirror, and between every few plucking, take a step back to assess the fix of your hair game.
Trim Your Eyebrows
Keep your brows looking modern by trimming the front part of your brows. While a little attempt at scissors works fine (and they look super cute), I take advantage of a nose trimmer tool instead (the spherical edges can keep you from cutting yourself and make your brows look like the Red Wedding from Game of Thrones).
To start, brush the front of your brows up and trim any extra ragged hairs. Then brush the tail end of your brows towards the inner brow and slightly trim those hairs as well. No matter what you’re doing, don’t go crazy with the scissors, trust Maine, it’s not worth it.
Fill in the Spaces
If you’re one of the lucky few that the World Health Organization naturally wakes up to Cara Delevingne’s eyebrows, then I give you praise. But if not, to achieve the best brows possible, you’d like to fill out those pups, but not too much. First, look at a color that enhances your eyebrows. Use this guide if you’re not sure how to get the right tone.
Instead of filling in the brows completely, gently rub in the direction of hair growth. try to fill in your arches – natural brows are usually darker in that space. the beginning of your eyebrows tends to be lighter and more open. If you like, top it off with a brow gel to keep those hairs in place all day.
Highlight the Brow Bone
To raise your eyebrows, it’s never a bad plan to introduce some dimension. Slide a highlighter just below the bow and run it all the way to the top of the tail. This can help brighten up your brows and make them extra eye-catching!
