Justhost review, pros, and cons when one year of tracking,
Chris Phillips founded JustHost.com in 2002 in Glendale, California. Fast-forward to 2012, and EIG definitely didn’t inherit it.
That gives the North American nation a glimpse of what results to expect supported by the review of several alternative EIG brands to date (Bluehost and HostGator).
To give them a fair shot, we purchased and installed a WordPress website on JustHost’s ‘Shared’ setup and have been closely monitoring their time and speed in hopes of bringing you this unbiased and truthful review.
But did JustHost perform to an adequate degree to induce our recommendation?

Pros of Using JustHost
Let’s start with the positive sides of JustHost.
1. Good time period of 99.99%
A solid time frame is considered one of the most important factors within the hosting industry. It’s crucial because it really affects the availability of your website to your customers all over the world. If your website is not in the market, it will clearly have a negative impact on your business and you will lose traffic (and profits!). Also, a poor time frame can affect your website’s ranking on Google.
So free to mention, it is important to choose a number of United Nations agency offers a powerful time period.
Over the past twelve months, JustHost duration averaged 99.99% with only Nursing Associates per hour duration.
For the previous 12 months, the average uptime was:
- December 2021: 99.99%
- November 2021: 100%
- October 2021: 100%
- September 2021: 100%
- August 2021: 99.99%
- July 2021: 99.98%
- June 2021: 100%
- May 2021: 100%
- April 2021: 99.99%
- March 2021: 100%
- February 2021: 100%
- January 2021: 99.99%
In general, JustHost’s timeframe can be a bit inconsistent: some months need an ideal 100 percent timeframe, and some months a day will barely keep your sites up and running. but for now, they have secured a spot in our pros section.
2. Reliable customer support
JustHost provides 3 types of customer support: phone, domain knowledge, and live chat.
We tested their live chat support.
JustHost customer support connected with the North American nation right away and responded to all of our queries quickly. Although most of his responses were copied and pasted, he still sounded friendly and clever enough to earn our trust.
3. Instant server provisioning
Some hosts need a lengthy sign-up method for many new accounts, which means you (yes, even international ones) may need to jump on the phone to verify which UN agency you are.
That means you can expect a slow method (not to mention frustrating and slightly irritating too). Or the occasional demand for telephony at odd hours.
The good news is that JustHost offers instant server provisioning if you want to travel with their premium, VPS, or dedicated services.
4. 30-day money-back guarantee and add-ons
JustHost offers a standard 30-day money-back guarantee if you’re not happy with your initial experience. That’s relative to the business average for those of you keeping track of receiving.
It is vital to note that the refund only applies to the hosting service.
It does not apply to alternative products, such as domains. Since the free domains area unit is included, JustHost deducts a $15.99 non-refundable domain fee from your refund to hide their prices.
You can then transfer the name you have chosen to a different network host. Please note that you cannot simply transfer newly registered domains to a different host within sixty-day activation intervals.
JustHost easily integrates with standard platforms like Google Apps, plus over a hundred alternative open source apps.
They’ll also have free ad credits from Google and Bing, which can be a handy little bonus if you’re able to start generating online sales.
5. Free Name
New account registrations will get a free name (regardless of the hosting plan you choose) for the first year. After that, you will need to pay for a renewal worth looking at on that domain you are mining.
6. Free Script Library
With every JustHost account, you’ll get a full library of scripts for free.
SimpleScripts will mechanically install any of the scripts you select directly on your website. WordPress, OS Commerce, phpBB, and Joomla are among the services offered.
That way you can install whatever scripts you want without having to be a secret writing genius.
7. Smart security
When selecting an online host, security should be one of your top priorities.
Fortunately, JustHost offers many totally different types of website security. Secure Sockets Layer (SSL), Secure Shell (SSH), Solid State Drive (SSD), and other technologies are used.
They also offer SiteLock, which includes:
- Daily 360 degree vulnerability scan
- dashboard reports
- Email alerts and notifications
- A verifiable dynamic security badge
- security maintenance
- 360-degree scanning (defacement, hidden downloads, information vulnerabilities, and application vulnerabilities)
Together, you’ll receive instant alerts and reports to your email address and dashboard if a threat is detected. That way, you can take action against harmful content before your website gets blacklisted.
Cons of Using JustHost
The most important options offered by a hosting provider are:
- Uptime – The average amount of time your website is online and available (not ‘down’, where visitors can’t access it due to errors or server issues)
- Speed – No matter how fast (or slow) your pages load all the content, images, and more. In general, the slower a website is, the lower the conversion rate.
- Customer Support: Smart Service should go above and beyond to help you find the easiest way to build your website experience while fixing common problems after they arise. That is very true if you are not the most important technical person in the world.
And if you scan the professional’s section you will notice that one of every 3 options has not appeared.
Have a look:
1. Slow page load times
Speed (or lack thereof) is one of the top reasons people leave your website (without becoming a consumer or customer). guests bounce, pageviews drop, conversions succeed, and customer satisfaction declines overall.
Sadly, JustHost‘s page load time is nothing to brag about. over the last twelve months, they delivered an average speed of 848 ms.
However, the good news is that they should show better results this year, so hopefully, before long, they’ll be fast enough to earn a place in our pro section.
2. Most profitable value only with three years, direct payment
JustHost looks cheap at first glance, with an explicit monthly fee of $3.95.
Keep in mind that you only have to purchase 3 years, all straight out of the box if you want to lock in a good price. Otherwise, a shorter-term (like twelve months) can set you back $5.95 per month (again, paid upfront). And if you want a monthly arrangement, the value would be $7.99.
To make matters worse, once this ‘promotional’ rate expires once your plan ends, your evaluation options will increase again.
When adjusted for actual value, it puts JustHost in direct competition with some of the best hosts we’ve reviewed.
3. Weekly backups are not secure
JustHost offers backups on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
JustHost does not guarantee the backups they provide.
What will it mean?
They technically offer one, but they don’t support or endorse it. Also, they take no responsibility for failed backups and JustHost cannot form backups for sites larger than thirty GB.
The best possibility would be to log in with a backup tool. This, however, may cost you an additional $2.99/month.
4. The number of Upsell(s) was too high
Any company should be freed up to try to generate income, but they see work.
Unfortunately, the amount of upsells you are bombarded with once the JustHost language is ready is pretty frustrating.
Many others have already complained about this follow-up, but sadly, it hasn’t stopped the constant rush of additional sales.

Do We Recommend JustHost?
Yes and no.
They are somewhat average.
When you compare its performance to decommissioning costs, this is what you get:
Their support is good, but not that great (we wish they had a live chat option). some amount of time just isn’t right.
However, his speed has become higher.
Overall, HostRocket’s “value” is just too average compared to the high price and additional setup fee. you’d be happier victimizing another host instead.
