NordVPN — The Best “All-Around VPN ($3.71/mo)

The Best VPN Providers For 2021
ProsCons
✅ Fast servers (5,656)
✅ Torrenting/P2P allowed
✅ Works with Netflix
✅ Strict no-logging policy
✅ Easy to use VPN apps
✅ Double data encryption
✅ No IP/DNS leaks found
Discounts are only available for longer subscriptions

Compatible with:

Whenever the topic of the world’s simplest VPN comes up, mentions of NordVPN aren’t far behind.

Many understand that NordVPN is the best all-around VPN, while many services specialize in a particular feature (be it security, speed, anonymity, number of servers, etc.), NordVPN manages to see every box we have.

NordVPN Privacy

NordVPN is one of the top private and secure services we have found.

First of all, it is based in Panama, which exists outside of the international alliances established for data exchange (alliances 5 Eyes, 9 Eyes, 14 Eyes), however, Panama even has a “mandatory no data retention” law that creates it so that NordVPN doesn’t need to store anything about you or your activity.

Why is this important?

Because some countries have privacy laws that go against the purpose of a VPN.

All VPNs claim they don’t keep logs or share information. However, if they are in a country that has laws that require it, they have no choice.

NordVPN makes use of a feature called “Double VPN,” which combines two servers into one. This doubles the encryption and ensures a highly secure link. There’s even a VPN kill switch that ensures that if a leak is found during your browsing session, you’ll be notified and logged out automatically.

There aren’t any IP leaks to speak of. We searched NordVPN for IP, DNS, and WebRTC leaks and found none. This was the safest service I’d ever experienced.

It also uses military-grade encryption to protect your internet connection. you will choose between IKEv2 / IPsec or OpenVPN for the VPN protocols.

NordVPN Features

NordVPN has a really massive server park, and that’s very important when selecting a VPN. You’re looking at the opening of 5,600 different servers among a whopping 60 countries. which means that regardless of the corner of the world you would like to determine a connection to, you will find a functional VPN server somewhere nearby.

It also has a variety of specialized servers like Dedicated Servers, Double Encrypted Servers, Obfuscated Servers, Tor Servers, and P2P Servers.

NordVPN works on both Windows and macOS devices, including mobile phones. You are ready to have six simultaneous devices connected for one account. It will also use NordVPN to connect to a router. which means that you are ready to protect all the devices that are linked to your WiFi signal directly, and only count together with your six connections.

NordVPN Torrenting and Netflix

Torrent and P2P connections are compatible with certain servers. you will easily find a P2P server using the server recommendation function. it will instantly provide you with a suggestion that supports your needs.

We named NordVPN our best VPN for torrenting due to some stellar security measures. Among them, a redirect feature that automatically sends you to servers in Canada or the Netherlands if you connect to a non-torrent server with a P2P connection.

NordVPN Pricing

NordVPN has three different plans that the price change supports the commitment period that you simply choose.

First of all, you have a month-to-month plan. this is often the most expensive option and costs $ 11.95 per month.

Then you have a 1-year commitment plan, saving you 58%, at a cost of $ 4.92 per month, all paid for in one payment.

Finally, there is the 2-year plan, which costs just $3.71 per month, with savings of 68%. Again, this is often collected in one payment, so you are paying for the full two years upfront.

In terms of payment options, NordVPN accepts all major credit cards and payment services. It allows you to pay with cryptocurrencies, which could give you a completely anonymous experience.

Surfshark — Best “Cheap” VPN ($2.49/mo)

The Best VPN Providers For 2021
ProsCons
✅ Strict no-logging policy
✅ Unlimited device connection
✅ Torrenting
✅ Plays Netflix
✅ Secure system
✅ Good add-ons like Multihop and Ad-Blocker
 Average speeds

Compatible with:

We rank Surfshark as our number two VPN service out of 78 that we have reviewed.
That’s because it’s a solid yet affordable VPN service with great success in unblocking services like Netflix. It has a powerful park of servers with connections all over the planet and uses several of the most advanced encryption protocols available.

Surfshark Privacy

When it comes to your privacy online, Surfshark takes many steps to ensure that you simply have a secure and 100% confidential connection.

It uses the state-of-the-art protocol and encryption options, with AES-256-GCM on OpenVPN and IKEv2 / IPSec.

There is also a special “Camouflage Mode”, which is not something many other VPN providers offer. When this is usually active, your VPN usage will be hidden. Your ISP won’t even be ready to tell you that you are using one. which makes it one of the safest personal services in the world.

One problem we had when investigating Surfshark from a privacy standpoint was determining its physical location. As for jurisdiction, they belong to the British Virgin Islands, which does not have a mandatory data retention law. This eliminates the need for log storage, which is great news for all. The lack of clarity about a specific venue, on the other hand, was worrying.

When it comes to logging, Surfshark has a no-logging policy. Your login details, which is simply an email address and password, are the only thing it saves.

We test Surfshark for IP leaks and locate it to be completely secure.

Surfshark Features

Surfshark has a ton of high-quality servers. You are looking at a park of approximately 1000 servers covering 60 countries. which means that Surfshark is going to offer you tons of options when it comes to relocating your IP.

It also has a service kill switch installed, which can automatically terminate your connection if an IP leak is detected.

Whitelist is another cool feature offered as a Surfshark neighborhood. When you use it, you are ready to select websites that will be ready to bypass the VPN tunnel. These sites can work from your normal IP address without you having to show the VPN.

Why does one need that?

Let’s say you are connected to a server somewhere in Asia, but you would like to see your bank balance. Your finance organization will mark your login attempt as coming from another country and potentially lock your account and freeze your funds.

With Whitelister, you’ll be connected to a VPN tunnel in Asia while still accessing your financial information from home. It saves you from having to log in and out of your VPN over and over again.

It is ready to connect a large number of devices to Surfshark, which is rare for a VPN provider. which means that one account can protect all the devices in your home without spending more. And Surfshark is available on almost every device you’ll consider, including Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS, and Android compatible hardware.

The only negative we found when testing Surfshark was the inconsistent speeds.

Surfshark Torrenting and Netflix

Torrents and P2P are allowed on Surfshark, so you won’t have any problems connecting with people from all over the planet.

Then there’s Netflix, which was another area where this service really shined. Netflix is often the nightmare of a VPN, with advanced detection programs blocking access to the streaming library.

We tested six different Surfshark servers and each one of them activated the streaming service with no problems. which makes Surfshark one of the simplest VPNs for streaming Netflix.

Surfshark Pricing

Surfshark is one of the easiest-priced VPNs we’ve seen, with plans as low as $ 2.49 per month.

Of course, that’s the value of the 2-year commitment, which suggests that you’ll need to buy the entire period upfront.

So you have a six-month plan for $ 6.49 per month. so the one-month plan is $ 12.95.

They offer a 30-day money-back guarantee and accept PayPal, Apple Pay, Alipay, and cryptocurrencies as payment options.

ExpressVPN — Best Streaming Performance ($6.67/mo)

The Best VPN Providers For 2021
ProsCons
 Supports ALL devices
Fast servers with minimal speed loss
 Unblocks Netflix in the USA
 Torrenting and P2P are allowed
No IP leaks or DNS leaks found
 Simple and easy to use
 No logging
More expensive than its chief rivals

Compatible with:

Our number three VPN is ExpressVPN, which many websites list as their favorite service.

ExpressVPN could easily be considered the king of the VPN mountain if it weren’t for its above-average price. was founded in 2009, making it a newcomer to the world of VPNs, just over a decade old.

When you use ExpressVPN, you will find excellent streaming performance, fast speeds, and tight security.

ExpressVPN Privacy

The first thing to notice about ExpressVPN’s level of privacy is location, location, location. is located within the British Virgin Islands, which suggests that this service exists outside of the 14 Eyes alliance and the other intelligence-sharing agreements.

That’s why when ExpressVPN claims it’s a no-registration service, you’ll really believe it. No agency requires the business to track usage and report it on demand.

It also uses many high-quality VPN protocols to ensure continued privacy. This includes OpenVPN, IPSec, IKEv2, et al. . All of those protocols are protected by AES-256 encryption standards, which has proven to be completely indecipherable.

There were no IP, DNS, or WebRTC links present once we tested the connection. Besides that, the installation files got rid of any harmful viruses or malware.

ExpressVPN Features

ExpressVPN has more than 3,000 servers open across 160 cities in 94 countries. which makes ExpressVPN among the most widespread VPNs in the world.

The interface is incredibly easy to work with. Installation and activation are quick and painless. Connections are often configured manually through the operating system-level VPN settings; otherwise, you can use the smart location feature to connect quickly.

ExpressVPN monitors your browsing session with a kill switch. If any IP leak is detected during a session, the kill switch will trip and terminate your session before leaking private information in the eyes of your ISP.

It’s also one of the fastest VPN services we’ve come across, making for a perfect experience with little to no drop-offs once you’re connected.

You can connect ExpressVPN to 5 different devices simultaneously, and it is a large number of supported devices. This includes Linux, Mac, Windows, iOS, Android, wireless routers, Chromebooks, Kindles, browsers, game consoles, and Smart TVs.

ExpressVPN Torrenting and Netflix

  • This service supports both the Tor network and the torrent function.
  • Tor is going to offer you the strongest security because it essentially doubles your privacy.
  • The torrenting was perfect. It worked perfectly with uTorrent.
  • Netflix works on a variety of ExpressVPN servers, but it requires you to experience a touch of trial and error.
  • In the US, for example, six of the 30 servers we tested were ready to play the streaming service.

ExpressVPN Pricing

  • ExpressVPN can be a bit more expensive than some of its tougher competitors.
  • The monthly fee for this service is $ 12.95 per month.
  • Then you have a six-month plan that will cost you $ 9.99 per month.
  • Finally, the 15-month plan is the cheapest option at $ 6.67 per month.
  • You can pay with a MasterCard, or with PayPal or Bitcoin, depending on your preferences. There is also Alipay, UnionPay, IDEAL, Klarna, and many more. ExpressVPN offers a 30-day money-back guarantee with every purchase.

Perfect Privacy — Unlimited Connections ($8.95/mo)

The Best VPN Providers For 2021
ProsCons
 No logging whatsoever
 Works with Netflix
 Allows Torrenting
 Connect unlimited devices
 Expensive service
⛔ Download speeds are average
⛔ Swiss jurisdiction

Compatible with:

Perfect Privacy is another solid option for encryption and anonymity of your Internet browsing sessions.

Privacy is literally the name of the sport, as the title of this service suggests. It’s an airtight system with a robust server park, unlimited devices, and a strict no-logging policy.

Perfect Privacy Privacy

When you work with a VPN called Perfect Privacy, you expect your privacy to be, well, perfect.

And this is often a neighborhood where Perfect Privacy lives up to its name.

Personal information is never tracked or processed, and they have an outstanding logging policy. There is, however, an issue. Perfect Privacy is based in Switzerland. The 5-Eyes security alliance includes Switzerland as one of its members.

It is also incredibly safe. We ran tests on Perfect Privacy and did not locate any IP leaks. The installation files were also completely clean, with no harmful viruses or malware buried inside. and that we carefully look for problems, running six different tests on the correct privacy connection, only to come back without a problem.

It uses AES-256 as its encryption standard, which is the best in the industry right out of the box. OpenVPN, SSH, and IPSec are examples of VPN protocols.

Perfect Privacy Features

The first thing to recognize about Perfect Privacy is that it allows unlimited simultaneous connections through one account. Tons of the services we review limit the number of active connections someone could have at one time, but that’s not the case here.

Any device running Windows, Mac, Linux, Android, iOS, or IPTV can work with Perfect-Privacy, along with wireless routers. We believe this is often an honest option for companies with large offices and multiple other employees because the unlimited connections will ensure that you won’t have to buy multiple accounts.

The VPN app itself was easy to use. it had been incredibly simple and self-explanatory. You are ready to change protocols and servers at will and therefore the VPN client can be run from a taskbar if you wish.

They provide adequate customer support, which is available through a forum, email, and a FAQ section. However, No live chat facility.

Perfect Privacy Torrenting and Netflix

  • The torrenting feature is available through Perfect Privacy, but it is limited.
  • You are only ready to torrent with premium dedicated servers, which are also the most expensive. Tons of other services offer unlimited torrents for the lowest price, so this was a bit of a disappointment.
  • We checked five of Perfect Privacy’s servers to see whether they could unblock Netflix, but only one of them worked. If you want a Netflix-compatible server, you will have to do some trial and error.

Perfect Privacy Pricing

  • The reason Perfect Privacy isn’t at the top of this list comes down to its price. It’s definitely more expensive than several of its top competitors, many of which seem to offer preferable features and privacy.
  • A one-month membership costs $ 12.99.
  • If you pay in advance for a year, you are saving 23% with $ 9.99 per month.
  • The best option for Perfect Privacy is to hitchhike for a period of two years, which is priced at $ 8.99 per month.
  • The company allows you to pay with Visa, Mastercard, PayPal, Bitcoin, Mobiamo, Amex, and UnionPay.

IPVanish — Secure and Fast, US-Based, No Live Support ($6.49/mo)

The Best VPN Providers For 2021
ProsCons
 Fast service
 No logs
 Unblocks Netflix
 Allows torrenting
 Works on all devices
 10+ simultaneous connections
Part of a Large US-based company
⛔ Slow customer support response
⛔ Expensive

IPVanish is the next service on our list, ranking number five. It’s a fast, no-logs service that works for both Netflix streaming and torrenting.

You get access to quite 1,000 servers covering a large number of countries. On top of that, there are some good security options that will keep your browsing sessions safe.

IPVanish Privacy

IPVanish supports all high-impact security protocols to create a personal experience.

For encryption, they use AES-256, which is one of the easiest ways to make sure no one is going to track what you are doing.

The company has a strict no-logging policy, which is the claim of almost all major VPN providers. They specifically indicate that none of your session metadata is stored, at all.

However, it should be noted that IPVanish may be part of StackPatch, a large US-based company, that puts it under US jurisdiction, which can be problematic from a privacy standpoint.

The United States can be an important part of the 5 Eyes security alliance, which means that not only can the authorities demand your personal information, but it is often shared with the United Kingdom, Canada, New Zealand, and Australia.

Our connection to IPVanish was totally secure. We ran our tests for leaks and viruses and found nothing.

IPVanish Features

The IPVanish application was smooth and easy. The interface is intuitive and you will connect with the push of a button.

The VPN uses a kill switch to protect your browsing, which is generally a good thing to determine. While we weren’t able to look for any IP leaks, it’s good to understand that if one arose, the system would identify it and pack your session directly.

It’s another level of protection that doesn’t go unnoticed.

You have a connection limit of 10 devices with IPVanish. While that’s not as inclusive as several of the services that allow unlimited connections, it’s still much more than the five or six allowed by several of the major opposing services we’ve reviewed.

IPVanish claims they offer 24/7 support, but we didn’t find this to be the case once we reviewed them. It took 60 hours to urge their support team to supposedly respond 24 hours.

IPVanish Torrenting and Netflix

IPVanish touts its ability to torrent with 100% privacy while using this service.

They endorse torrenting and peer-to-peer (P2P) connections and, in many cases, promote them.

It also supports TOR, allowing you to include additional encryption in your session. That’s useful if you’re trying to browse privately in a country with strict internet laws, like China, North Korea, or Russia.

When it comes to Netflix, we were ready to find the connection, but only on one server. We check servers in Canada, the UK, and therefore the Netherlands, all with no luck. However, a US-based server located in Chicago was ready to unblock the streaming service.

IPVanish Pricing

In our review, we list IPVanish as affordable but not too cheap.

Like most VPN services we have reviewed, IPVanish offers you discounts if you select to pre-purchase the service for a selected period of your time.

The base monthly price is $ 7.50 per month, which is not bad considering that most companies want more than $ 10 per month without a commitment period.

They even have a 3-month subscription for $ 6.75 per month and a 1-year commitment for $ 4.87 per month.

They don’t have a two-year plan.

IPVanish has a seven-day money-back guarantee and allows you to pay with a master card, PayPal, and even cryptocurrencies like BitCoin, if you’re trying to find an untraceable payment.

Mullvad — Most Anonymous Signup Process ($5.45/mo)

The Best VPN Providers For 2021
ProsCons
 Anonymous signup process
 No logging policy
 Fast
 Secure encryption
 Kill switch
 No mobile apps
⛔ Lackluster customer support

Mullvad is better known as the VPN with a mole pet, but it is a ton of that.

It has a fast, reliable, and secure VPN with an incredibly secure sign-up process. While it doesn’t have mobile apps, it still hits number six on our list.

Mullvad Privacy

Mullvad operates under a strict no-log policy. this is often protected by the VPN which assigns you a numbered account, much like a Swiss bank. which means it doesn’t even store your email and password.

This service has one of the strongest no-logging policies we’ve ever seen and offers a level of anonymity that surpasses most opposing VPNs out there.

It uses OpenVPN and WireGuard for VPN tunnel protocols.

OpenVPN remains the industry standard, and WireGuard is a tunnel of developing networks that many call a later big hit within the VPN universe. It is a crypto-based protocol that is said to deliver connections up to 5 times faster with no lag.

It uses AES-256 encryption standards and had no IP leaks or viruses at all once we tested the connection.

Mullvad is based in Sweden, which isn’t great news when it comes to VPN privacy. Sweden can be a member of the 14 Eyes security alliance, which can generally be a deal-breaker. But due to Mullvad’s anonymous account numbering system, it is not a serious problem from a privacy point of view.

We test the VPN connection for leaks and do not find any security breaches or viruses.

Mullvad Features

Mullvad is good and easy to use. It connects with the push of a button and presents a minimal and easy-to-understand interface.

It has 311 OpenVPN servers in 38 countries around the world. Mullvad also has 60 WireGuard servers located in 27 countries and 14 Bridge servers in nine countries. which creates a total of 385 servers in 38 countries in total.

Mullvad does not have mobile apps, but you will still use it through an Android or iOS device. However, to work with OpenVPN on your mobile device, you will have to go through a lengthy 15-step process, which is no fun.

While Mullvad’s customer service department does not have a live chat feature, they arrived within two hours, which was impressive.

Mullvad also has a built-in kill switch that will immediately end your session if an IP or DNS leak is detected.

Mullvad Torrenting and Netflix

You’re ready to torrent and use P2P connections when you work with Mullvad, which is rare for a VPN operating outside of a 14-eye jurisdiction.

Mullvad doesn’t really advertise that torrents are fine on their servers, but they do have a Bittorrent guide that lets you know that P2P connections are perfectly fine.

We tested a variety of Mullvad servers for Netflix use and were pleased to find some promising results.

Five of the US-based servers we tested were all blocked, but a UK server turned Netflix on without a problem.

Mullvad Pricing

Mullvad’s pricing is so straightforward that the company’s website lacks a pricing tab.

There are no monthly plans or closed features. you have an account number that gives you 30 days of access for $ 5.61, or 5 euros.

You can pay with a credit card with no limits or with PayPal. Bitcoin and Bitcoin Cash are now accepted.

CyberGhost – Great Features, Average Speed ($2.75/mo)

The Best VPN Providers For 2021
ProsCons
 Affordable
 Easy to use application
 No logging
 Torrenting is allowed
 Worked with Netflix
 Massive server park
 Average Speeds
⛔ Questionable parent company
⛔ Alleged security concerns

Our next stop is CyberGhost. It advertises itself as the “best VPN solution.”

It’s definitely a complete experience, with good prices, an easy-to-use application, and a positively massive server park.

CyberGhost Privacy

CyberGhost does not record your information. While this is usually something that almost all VPN companies say, it is not always true in practice. tons of companies will say “we don’t log” until you get to their privacy policy, where they will then backtrack with that statement.

Fortunately, CyberGhost can be a service that says it will not log your information and then backs that statement up to date with its privacy policy.

It is also located in Romania, which exists outside of the 14 Eyes security alliance. which means that no government organization can demand information about you or your browsing sessions.

We put CyberGhost through the doorbell, testing to determine if there have been DNS leaks or IP leaks plaguing our connection.

And we look really hard!

We ran six comprehensive tests and each had an equivalent result. No leaks of any kind.

There was an alleged security concern that arose in 2016 and that has dogged CyberGhost ever since. It has been alleged that the no-log policy is not being enforced, eroding trust in the service for tons of people. But that’s something that CyberGhost denies.

It uses all major VPN protocols, including OpenVPN, L2TP, and IPSec, including AES-256 encryption.

CyberGhost Features

CyberGhost has more than 4,000 servers in more than 60 countries, which is a big pen at its limit.

The service is also available on devices running Windows, Android, Mac, iOS, Chrome, Firefox, and Amazon fire tv.

At any given time, you can attach up to seven devices. CyberGhost has made a significant change in this area over the years. They had a one-device cap on one occasion, but it was extended during a truly positive transition.

The company also makes use of live chat customer support and a kill switch to help you know that you simply need to add an extra layer of protection to your browsing experience.

CyberGhost Torrenting and Netflix

CyberGhost once discouraged torrenting but is now promoting it alongside its main selling points.

However, it will not be ready to torrent on all servers in the CyberGhost park. There are specific servers that are designed to download torrents and that are easy to search through a tab located within the application.

CyberGhost also tries to directly address the difficulty of blocking Netflix. It uses a streaming server that continually changes its IP every time Netflix identifies it.

We tested this and it worked perfectly. They specifically tag the servers they employ for Netflix, so you don’t have to search too hard.

CyberGhost Pricing

Most VPN services offer monthly, annual, and two-year subscriptions. CyberGhost has this too, but they go one step further.

CyberGhost offers a 3-year subscription, which is undoubtedly its best value.

The month-to-month price, which is the most expensive, is $ 12.99 per month. Then you have the one-year subscription, which goes down to $ 5.99 per month. Two years will cost you $ 3.69 per month. Finally, you have the three-year plan at just $ 2.75 per month.

That two-year option makes CyberGhost one of the most profitable VPN options out there.

As for payments, you have credit and debit cards, but also BitPay and PayPal. There is even the option to pay in cash.

When it comes to money-back guarantees, you have a few sparse seven-day periods, and therefore the most common 30-day money-back guarantee that most offer. By CyberGhost gives you 45 days to make the decision that you simply need a refund.

Trust.Zone — Fast VPN with Small Server Network ($2.88/mo)

The Best VPN Providers For 2021
ProsCons
 Fast network
 Torrenting
 Unblocks Netflix
 No logging
 Affordable
 No leaks
 Limited device support
⛔ Small server network
⛔ Bad customer support

Trust.Zone may be a relatively young service, launched in 2014 by Trusted Solutions, LLC.

This is an easy-to-use, no-registration service that exists outside of data sharing alliances. It uses several of the simplest VPN and encryption protocols out there while being one of the cheapest VPNs we’ve seen.

And the Trust.Zone server speeds were almost like NordVPN’s (# 1 on our list), ranking 15th overall.

Trust.Zone Privacy

From a privacy standpoint, Trust.Zone comes with some great news.

It is located within Seychelles, in Mahe specifically. In addition to being an impressive place, Seychelles does not have any information exchange pacts with other nations and exists outside of the 14 Eyes surveillance alliance.

That means no one can ask for your personal information. At the very least, they could ask for it and be turned down.

All of that leads to Trust.Zone registration policy. Simply put, they don’t log anything, which makes this a very anonymous service. Once you check the Trust.Zone privacy policy, you will see that they do not take your name, address, phone number, or other personal information.

They also don’t save log files. Usage data is all anonymous and in no way related to you.

Trust.Zone also provides L2TP and OpenVPN, the industry-standard VPN protocols. All are encrypted with AES-256, which is impossible to crack with modern technology.

We did a leak and virus test and located Trust.Zone to be completely safe and clean.

Trust.Zone Features

When you use Trust.Zone, you have access to 170 servers covering 96 different locations. While that’s not the biggest server park we’ve seen, it’s acceptable.

There is a kill switch included with the service that will terminate your session if an IP leak is detected. It’s like an emergency detection system that adds another layer of security to an already impressive private service.

Trust.Zone was also very easy to install and ultimately to use. the complete installation, including the download time, did not take three minutes. Then it is just a simple click and you are connected. Once you are inside, it is also very easy to modify the servers whenever you want.

Unfortunately, device compatibility can be a major issue for Trust.Zone. It will connect with iOS, Android, Linux, Windows, and Mac systems, but there is no support for game systems and other smart devices.

Customer support was also found to be lacking. there is no 24/7 helpdesk. You are only ready for help via a contact form Monday through Friday, between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. GMT.

You’re ready to run five simultaneous connections when you use a two-year subscription, but only three once you subscribe for a year or month-to-month.

Trust.Zone Torrenting and Netflix

Torrent and P2P connections are allowed using Trust.Zone without restrictions of any kind. Trust.Zone makes every effort to claim that it does not block or speed up Internet traffic.

That means it is also TOR ready if you want to include another layer of security and encryption in your browsing sessions.

We checked five Trust.Zone servers for Netflix functionality and two of these five worked like a charm. which means Trust.Zone can be a service that works with Netflix, you will only have to play with the servers to find one that slides through the detection system of the streaming service.

Trust.Zone Pricing

Trust.Zone can be a good value service, offering subscription periods of 1 month, one year, and two years. Each subscription period has the full selection of servers, unlimited data transfer, unlimited bandwidth, and unlimited server switching.

It’s rare to look for a monthly VPN for less than $ 10, but Trust.Zone is only $ 8.88 per month, with no commitment period.

A one-year subscription costs $ 4.44 per month, which is only $ 39.95 upfront.

Then you have the 2-year subscription, which saves you up to 68% at just $ 2.88 per month. That’s a one-time cost of $ 69.15.

Trust.Zone also provides a free three-day trial. You can only connect to 142 servers and upload 1GB of data.

Credit cards, PayPal, PayPro, and Bitcoin are all approved payment types. They also encourage people to use Bitcoin by giving a 10% discount to those who do.

All Trust.Zone plans offer a 10-day money-back guarantee.

ibVPN — VPM, Proxy and Smart DNS All In One ($4.83/mo)

The Best VPN Providers For 2021
ProsCons
 No logging
 Unblocks Netflix
 Allows torrenting
 Support is quick to respond
 Pricing is confusing
⛔ Small server park

ibVPN can be a safe and secure VPN option that uses strong protocols and encryption to safely channel your information.

It offers Proxy and Smart DNS to beat a central system. This VPN has average speed and fast support, with a host of useful features that make it easy to use.

ibVPN Privacy

If you are trying to find a personal VPN, ibVPN may be a good option.

They do not record any information and do not collect specific user activity. That’s something that’s pointed out in their privacy policy, which is where you get the lowdown on some VPN logging policies.

It is based in Romania, which is outside the jurisdiction of the 14 Eyes surveillance alliance. which means that a government body will not be ready to request your personal information. This results in better protection and fewer sleepless nights for ibVPN users.

Then you have the particular VPN connection. ibVPN uses OpenVPN, which is an open-source protocol that has become the industry standard carrier for VPN use. But ibVPN also offers PPTP, L2TP, and SSTP protocols in case you want to use something different.

When it comes to encryption, you have access to AES-256 encryption standards, which can seamlessly protect your information from prying eyes.

An IP or DNS leak will be the only thing that could jeopardize this winning combination. Fortunately, none of these were discovered after six thorough tests of the relation.

Also, no malware was found within the installation files.

ibVPN Features

Device support is a neighborhood where ibVPN really shines. It has your basic devices covered like Windows, Mac, iOS, and Android, but it also works on smart devices, streaming devices, and gaming systems.

You can also connect ibVPN to a router to protect all devices connected to the signal.

The application installs and starts in no time. Once you are logged in, you will customize the compatibility preferences for your connections. For example, you could configure your VPN to automatically connect to the fastest server, or to start every time your computer is activated.

Unfortunately, we encountered a variety of problems, starting with the speed of service. The US-based servers were experiencing a download speed slowdown of more than 84%, while the upload speed decreased by 75%.

The basic plan for ibVPN also only allows one connection at a time. If you upgrade to a more inclusive plan, you will increase up to 5 connections.

ibVPN Torrenting and Netflix

Torrenting is fully allowed on 35 of ibVPN’s servers. you’ll set your preferences to automatically connect to one of these servers every time you connect if you’re torrenting tons.

TOR is also available, but only through three servers, located in the US, Singapore, and therefore the Netherlands.

We tested this service for Netflix as well and found that two of the five servers we tested were ready to connect and stream seamlessly.

ibVPN Pricing

Most of the VPNs we reviewed have an all-inclusive service that varies by price and is supported by the length of your subscription.

ibVPN does not do this. Instead, it’s four different levels of service, some of which are priced equivalently.

Standard VPN, Torrent VPN, and IBDNS / Smart DNS subscriptions are priced at $ 3.08 per month if you pay all year in advance. They cost $ 4.95 per month to month.

Then you have the last word VPN package, which costs $ 4.83 per month once you buy a yearly subscription or $ 10.95 month-to-month.

All packages are accompanied by a 15-day money-back guarantee. They accept more than 50 international payment options. These include credit and debit cards, e-wallets, AliPay, bank transfers, BitCoin, and many others.

Private Internet Access — Fast, US-Based, But Limited Streaming ($3.33/mo)

 ⛔ Barely works with Netflix

Private internet access may be a fast VPN service that is based in the US It is one of the most popular VPN services in the world and rounds out our list of the simplest VPN services at number 10.

It has been around since 2010 and has thousands of users at a reasonable price.

Private Internet Access Privacy

PIA claims that it does not log any of your information, it does not log data points related to VPN activity.

While you confirm that you do not monitor traffic and communication logs, you retain your payment details and email address.

Additionally, PIA is located within the USA, which may be a member of the 5 Eyes security alliance. which means that at any time the United States government could request your information and then share that information with various other countries.

The connection was secure once we tested it. there have been no DNS or IP leaks after a series of six tests.

Encryption is completed using AES-256 standards for the highest level of protection. It comes with AES-128 by default, but you’ll up the ante to the more powerful 256. Uses OpenVPN as its tunneling protocol, which is the industry standard. It also uses IPSec / L2TP, PPTP, and Socks5 proxy.

Private Internet Access Features

The first thing to notice about PIA is that it is fast. All VPNs are consuming some of your speed, but some are overreaching.

With PIA, we noticed very subtle speed reductions when testing servers in the US, UK, Asia, and therefore the EU.

There is also a kill switch, which monitors the integrity of your connection and immediately disconnects it if any leaks are detected.

In terms of device compatibility, you have Windows, MacOS, Linux, Android, and Firefox. Extensions have also been created for the Chrome, Firefox, and Opera browsers.

Routers are often found too, although if you want to use OpenVPN, that will take some manual setup time. PIA is also compatible with smart TVs and game consoles.

Private Internet Access Torrenting and Netflix

PIA not only allows you to download torrents, but it also focuses on them. They will not restrict or control any of your P2P connections.

The company doesn’t start out and specifically says that it allows torrenting, so if you’re looking at their website, you might be feeling confused, however, it says that P2P connections are supported.

Netflix, on the other hand, worked but only worked. When we started Netflix on five of the PIA servers, only one of them actually worked.

So is it possible to run Netflix using PIA? Absolutely. But you are going to need to undergo trial and error.

Private Internet Access Pricing

PIA offers a month-to-month subscription along with one-year and two-year commitments.

The monthly version of PIA costs only $ 9.95 per month and is renewed monthly. This is usually an honest price for a month-to-month service, as it’s hard to find one for less than $ 10.

You have a one-year option, which is prepaid at $ 71.88 per year. That comes down to just $ 5.99 per month.

Then there’s the 2-year plan, which costs just $ 3.49 per month, paid only once at $ 83.87.

Who is The Best VPN Provider?

When trying to find the simplest VPN for yourself, there are a number of key criteria to examine.

It just happens to be an equivalent criterion that we look for when conducting VPN reviews.

Some notable things to keep in mind include:

  • Registration Policy
  • Are there any IP leaks?
  • How fast is the VPN?
  • Does it allow downloading torrents?
  • Will it unblock Netflix?
  • How many servers do you have?
  • In which countries are these servers located?
  • What is the maximum number of contacts you can have at one time?
  • Is there a kill switch?
  • Does the VPN parent company fall within the jurisdiction of a surveillance alliance?

We have compiled all of that information into a special spreadsheet, which we have made available for your review.

VPN Frequently Asked Questions

What are the benefits of using a VPN?

Your IP address will be hidden, and your internet traffic will be encrypted, ensuring that your session is totally anonymous.

But how do you make that happen?

First, the VPN masks your IP address, so it is important to ensure that the service you are using does not lose your IP or DNS address.

Appearing like you’re somewhere else allows you to avoid geo-blocked content or uncensored websites. It also helps journalists and privacy activists under authoritarian regimes escape backlash, jail, or worse.

VPNs create a secure tunnel around your entire Internet connection (primarily using the OpenVPN tunneling protocol) while protecting not only your browser but also your application activity. Most VPNs use 256-bit AES encryption which makes it virtually impossible for your Internet Service Provider (ISP) to track which websites you are visiting.

But it also means that your personal data remains protected.

Is a VPN fully legal?

Yes, the use of VPN is perfectly legal in 97% of the nations of the world.

However, we checked 196 VPN country laws to verify that some countries control VPN use, while others completely prohibit them.

It is alleged that only “government approved” VPNs are used in:

  • China
  • Iran
  • Oman
  • Russia
  • Turkey
  • United Arab Emirates

Getting caught using one that is not sponsored could mean fines, imprisonment, or both.

However, be careful when in these countries. Because you will almost assume that “government approved” means that they share some (if not all) data with each government when requested.

Can you use a VPN to stream or watch Netflix?

You can use VPN to stream content and watch Netflix, but not all of them work with certain streaming services.

We found that roughly 70% of the VPNs we tested can fly below Netflix’s geoblocking radar.

Those numbers are pretty good, considering that Netflix has aggressively gone after VPN connections and proxy servers in the last two years.

Their licensing restrictions are under extreme pressure, however, they are doing whatever it takes to prevent people in the UK from streaming American content (and vice versa).

Our tests revealed that both Surfshark and NordVPN work perfectly on multiple servers.

That means they are proactively avoiding Netflix detection, and it means that it will also calculate them working properly in the future.

Besides Netflix, people also use VPNs to bypass geo-restrictions, however watch sports channels, or maybe other streaming services like HULU.

Are VPNs safe for torrenting?

Yes, VPNs can keep your connection safe and anonymous when you are torrenting or using P2P connections.

We’ve collected the simplest VPNs for torrenting and found that most fall into one of four categories:

  • Allow unlimited and unrestricted torrents
  • It Allows limited torrents only on specific servers
  • Allow but do not encourage and no
  • Do not allow
  • Using torrents connects you with peer-to-peer (P2P) file-sharing to download massive files at lightning speed. Without a VPN, you allow yourself to be exposed to the opposite people on the same connection.

The problem is that torrents are more documented for circumventing copyright laws to download content illegally.

And many VPN companies back down from potential backlash from the authorities.

Do VPN providers keep log files?

VPN companies shouldn’t keep log files, and they all claim that this is not the case, however, many still do, so it is important to give it a try in your research.

After exploring 118 different VPNs, we found that 26 of them will collect three or more important log files that could easily reveal your personal actions.

They all say they “don’t log in.” But many of them do. The trick is to probe their privacy policies and terms of service to determine what exactly they are logging.

For example, almost everyone will track aggregate bandwidth usage so they can monitor their own server performance.

That’s no problem.

It starts urging a complicated touch once they track once you log in or exit their service, and you’ll want to run the hills once they keep track of the individual websites you visit.

To make matters worse, many of them use overly-complicated legal verbiage to confuse the issues.

They will express it in such a way that it sounds innocent. Where it doesn’t appear to be, they will crawl the files you download.

Can you protect a router, Smart TV, or game console with a VPN?

You can absolutely use a VPN in conjunction with your router, Smart TV, and game console, as long as the VPN you are using is compatible with those devices.

Fortunately, most do. If not, they often have a workaround like a manual OpenVPN setup.

Choose a VPN that is natively compatible with the platform you choose to use.

Let’s say it is a router. Fixing a VPN connection on your internet source means that it will block your entire connection. But it also means that you will effectively add as many devices to a secure network as you want.

Win-win.

Also, setting it up to date on your Smart TV will help you stream geo-blocked content more easily on Netflix, Hulu, et al..

You can change server locations right from your device and easily walk through the simplest options to finally access the content you want.

Will a VPN slow down internet speed?

All VPNs will affect speed on how. you’ll expect a 30% drop from even the simplest VPN systems in the world.

It really comes down to which VPN you are using. some of them just slow you down a bit, while others absolutely destroy your speed.

Why is this?

Think of it this way:

Sure, they are adding another layer of security. However, that also means that they are adding more obstacles to get their traffic jumping.

Those extra speed bumps mean you’ll always expect a slowdown of some kind.

The key is to look for a VPN that doesn’t completely derail your traffic either.

We repeat an equivalent speed test for each VPN we review.

First, we get the baseline reading without a VPN, so we’ll compare.

We then hooked up to a couple of different servers to run and compile an unbiased combined rating.

We’ve seen some people who can only dock their link a couple of percentage points in this process. It’s extremely doubtful that you’d find it.

However, we’ve also seen some truly horrific ones.

Some of the providers we have reviewed have slowed down our connection by more than 100%!

Streaming material would be almost impossible as a result. And responding to emails will be difficult.

We rank each VPN from first to the last place. So check the rankings of each if you’re concerned.

Can a VPN help with ISP throttling?

Usually, a VPN is able to help you with ISP limitations.

This occurs when your Internet service provider throttles your connection in an effort to intentionally slow down your connection.

This is perfectly legitimate, even though it shouldn’t be.

If you’re using a ton of bandwidth, streaming HBO or Netflix, they could intentionally hamper your connection to indirectly force you to avoid it.

Using these services means two things:

  1. Fewer resources are available to your other clients, and
  2. You are not watching their own services or shows.

Many times, they will use sophisticated methods like “traffic exchange” to basically spy on your traffic data.

The problem is that it is not always possible to escape strangulation.

However, a VPN can help. It will encrypt your device and help to hide it from these traffic exchange activities.

It is not infallible. But it can help hide data packets buried beneath the surface that could identify you.

What are the risks of using a VPN?

VPNs are mostly safe. However, if you are doing something very illegal, there is a risk.

There are certain actions that you can simply take that can cause some legal problems.

Make sure you are not doing one of these things:

  • Using a VPN sponsored by a non-governmental organization in a country that needs it
  • Using a VPN to download copyrighted material and torrenting
  • Perform other illegal activities while under a VPN connection.

Obviously, any of these questionable details can get you into a tight spot, regardless of what type of connection you’re running.

But for everything else, you are primarily risking time and money.

If you’re wasting money on a terrible performing VPN, for example, it will take forever to stream something until you finally drop it. So you’ve wasted money that you can’t visit again.

We’ve also highlighted a number of “spying” and malware risks with free VPNs.

Fortunately, these are quite rare. But it definitely happens. Therefore, we will let you know if we find potential red flags in each of our reviews.

Is there a totally free VPN?

There are some free VPNs, but we don’t recommend using them.

The old adage that something seems “too good to be true” sets off a kind of warning alarm around these services.

You’re aware of the adage about “free” services…

YOU are the merchandise.

Shady’s free VPNs will commonly track your data and sell it to the highest external bidder.

Many have even been caught doing much worse, like injecting ads or referring affiliate traffic to increase profits on their behalf.

See this example from the CSIRO investigation and the FTC complaint against Betternet.

Scary, right?

So be sure to do your homework.

See if the VPN you are interested in offers a free trial. Or, if you shop around, you will find coupons or discounts like our NordVPN coupon.

Is a VPN safe for banking?

As long as you recognize what you are doing, a VPN is perfectly safe when banking.

Typically, using VPN can only improve your online security, and who wouldn’t want another layer of on-site security when handling your financial information?

The only problem you might encounter would be the bank’s security system, especially if you are connected to the VPN through a server located in another country. which can appear as suspicious activity and can be flagged within the bank’s system. this could cause a short-term hold to be placed on your account.

But if you are connecting to a server that is in your general area, the added encryption is usually a great boost to your online safety.

Can a VPN connect to another VPN?

Yes, you will be using one VPN at the same time, but it is a sophisticated process that should not be undertaken unless you are tech-savvy.

However, it should be noted that while running two VPNs together is feasible, it is not actually necessary and does not provide many benefits, especially once the work it requires is considered.

When you use two VPNs, one of them will most likely bind, while the other will most likely display a routing error. The two services will face off before one of them takes the lead. Then it’s possible that you’re the only one left.

The best thank you to having two VPNs working together would be aligning one per day of your operating system with another running in a virtual machine. To try this, the virtual machine should be installed with OpenVPN added.

Then you would use the system in the virtual machine to own two connected tunnels. This routes your IP address through the host computer before being routed through the virtual machine.

It should even be noted that this can slow down the speed quite a bit. If you want to double your security, we suggest using the TOR network while connected to a VPN.

How many unique IP addresses and locations can a VPN offer?

Each VPN presents a different number of IP addresses and locations for you to connect to. This is often one of the features that you simply need to check out when choosing the simplest VPN for your personal and business use.

Something like VyprVPN, for example, has 300,000 IP addresses, but that’s not equivalent to all the services you just check out.

Can police track a VPN?

The police are not prepared to track a VPN, as long as the service does not keep any log files.

This is why viewing the logging policy of your chosen VPN is so important. All providers mention that they do not keep records. But that’s not always true. you would like to know the privacy policy of the service to see the important story.

The logs show the IP addresses you were simply connected to while using the VPN. So it’s easy for the police or other law enforcement agencies to connect the dots and determine who was using that IP.
