That’s what we’re going to determine during this Touch VPN review.
We did the testing and research and then presented the pros and cons to help you choose if Touch VPN is right for you.

We base our review on these 6 categories:

  • Download speed;
  • Privacy and registration policy;
  • Jurisdiction;
  • Availability of torrents and Netflix;
  • Usability and support; and
  • cost

So let’s get straight to the point.

Touch VPN Pros

You Don’t Pay for Anything

That’s how it is:

Touch VPN is completely free and does not require a penny to use.
Your site mentions something about “premium services”, but we did not find anything associated with these services at the time of this review.

touchvpn premium

Having said that:

Being liberal in use could also be the only good thing going for you.

It goes without saying that the expression “you get what you pay for” should be taken into account when discovering free VPNs.

What are the disadvantages of Touch VPN?

Touch VPN Cons

Slow Download Speed

“It can’t be that bad, can it?”

Our speed tests reveal that Touch VPN slows down your internet speed. this is often what we find in our tests:

Touch VPN Review in 2021
Article: Touch VPN Review in 2021

The image above shows the web speed for the Netherlands.

The following image shows the US web speed.

Touch VPN Review in 2021
Article: Touch VPN Review in 2021

This is how the results appear in detail:

  • Ping: 43 ms
  • Download: 25.04 Mbps
  • Upload: 32.80 Mbps

  • Ping: 244 ms
  • Download: 24.27 Mbps
  • Upload: 6.68 Mbps

Compare these results to the fastest VPNs like PersonalVPN or Private Tunnel and there is clearly no competition.

If speed is what you are trying to find during a VPN, Touch VPN is not the one for you.

They Log Your Information

Let’s clarify this:

The most important feature of a VPN should be protecting your privacy while using the web.
This is the primary reason why most people first use VPNs, right?

All right:

Most free VPNs record your information and sell it to third parties.
This is because selling their data is how they will make money.

Here at MillerReviews, we’ve already talked about the risks of using free VPNs in the past, but this fact bears repeating now.
It is important to always read the fine print when handling free VPNs.

On the bright side:

Touch VPN (at least) admits to recording your personal information (unlike other free VPNs that completely mislead you).

touchvpn info collect

They collect your information by recording your data.

touchvpn logging

They say they are doing this to provide you with better services and for statistical purposes and of course for marketing purposes.

touchvpn info sharing

This should not be a surprise.

If the business doesn’t make money from a free VPN, it makes money off of you instead.
This is done by selling your information to third parties.

It means that you are the merchandise. These types of defeats the goal of using a VPN in the first place.

If you continue to use their services despite this data, you should be careful with the knowledge you provide simply because …

They’re Under 5-Eyes Jurisdiction

“What are 5 eyes and why is it important?”

If your VPN provider is located in a country that is under the jurisdiction of the 5 eyes, it means that your government can force you to hand over whatever information they need to collect, which incorporates your personal information.

While some VPNs may also be within an equivalent jurisdiction, you still have an advantage if their logging policies prevent them from keeping logs.
Even if they are required to hand over some of the information they saved, they won’t have any of your personal information to hand over because they never saved it in the first place.

When it comes to keeping your personal information cared for, Touch VPN is risky because they record everything.

Doesn’t Work with the TOR Browser

Touch VPN Review in 2021

What is the TOR browser for?

The Onion Browser (TOR) can be a browser that protects your anonymity on the web by bouncing your connection 3 times to different IPs before connecting to the server you are trying to find. This ensures that anyone monitoring your data cannot trace it back to your IP.

If you’re someone who wants that extra layer (get it?) Of protection for your identity and knowledge, you’ll want your VPN to work in tandem with the TOR browser.

Touch VPN is not consistent with the TOR browser in our testing.

Here’s what our tests found:

The above two pictures show our IP with active Touch VPN.

In the meantime, here is our IP while using the TOR browser with Touch VPN active.

The results show that Touch VPN is inconsistent with the TOR browser.

There are better options (like NordVPN) if you just have to have complete anonymity online with the TOR browser.

But only once did you think that things couldn’t get worse …

DNS Information Leaks and Possible Viruses

This should be a cause for concern, as not even large companies are safe from hackers lately.

“But what is a DNS?” you ask?

A domain name system (DNS) is like a web directory of domain names that servers translate into Internet Protocol (IP).

You will still be able to submit a DNS invitation (provided by your ISP) to the URL you specify each time you visit a website. Then the server points the right IP address to your window.

Any URL you set is often monitored and logged by your ISP. If you use a VPN, the request your browser sends is sent to an anonymous DNS server through your VPN.

You will only get a false sense of security if your VPN leaks your DNS information.
This is why keeping your DNS information private is crucial if you want true privacy while browsing online.

Touch VPN ensures that your anonymity is safe while using its services.

We didn’t find this during our experiments. The fact that Touch VPN actually leaks your DNS data has been revealed:

Chrome app leak test 2:

IP leak test 3:

Touch VPN Review in 2021
Article: Touch VPN Review in 2021

These results are concerning, as they mean that Touch VPN does not really protect your privacy, despite its security.

It’s more:

Our VPN reviews often follow a Virustotal scan when we mention leaks in DNS. After all, if it contains viruses, a VPN that does not leak your information is still unsafe (like most free VPNs).

The benchmarks for stable VPNs are these two checks.

We weren’t ready to do a Virustotal scan because the app is only available through the Windows store. We couldn’t access the application file because it was a Windows store application.

This is bad news as most free VPNs contain viruses. Touch VPN may contain viruses that it simply cannot detect because there is no way of knowing.

No Built-In Kill Switch

“What is a button for killing, and why should it be?”

An automatic switch ensures that your online information is kept safe in the event of an interruption in your Internet connection. This feature should be a crucial factor to think about if you really want to keep your information and identity safe.

Our investigation showed that Touch VPN has no kill switch functionality. This makes it risky to use, particularly where your internet connection is permanently interrupted.

No Torrenting or Netflix

“Hope for?” It’s what you want to be thinking.

In these times when most of the big torrent sites are being packaged by governments around the world, it might be completely understandable that you require your VPN to allow you to download torrents.

That being said:

A VPN would be so much better if it could offer you Netflix. And if not, it should at least let you torrent, right?

Touch VPN Review in 2021
Article: Touch VPN Review in 2021

Sorry to say, but:

Our research showed that Touch VPN doesn’t allow you to torrent or Netflix (despite having the Netflix logo on its home page, no less).

If what you are trying to find during a VPN is Netflix, you should check out our top VPNs for Netflix. If torrenting is what you’re trying to find, our best VPNs for torrenting shouldn’t disappoint.

Said that:

It’s at least convenient to use, right?

All right…

It’s Easy to Use but They Use Fake Locations

When it comes to usability, you’ll want to know what devices you’ll be using with Touch VPN.

All right:

We found that it is often used on these devices:

  • Windows
  • Mac
  • Google Chrome
  • iOS
  • Android

If you want to use Touch VPN on your game consoles or smart TVs, you will be happier with another VPN because you cannot use Touch VPN on these devices.

Now second:

How easy is it to install and use Touch VPN?

The fact is, the best VPNs will only be “the best” if customers can use them.
There’s no use signing up for a top-notch VPN if you can’t figure out how to get the hang of it.

All right:

touchvpn connection request

When it comes to simple use, the Touch VPN app might be fine too, but we still have mixed feelings towards it and you’ll see why.
This is what the Android Touch VPN app interface looks like:

touchvpn app home
touchvpn app connect

Your Android app is not that bad.

  • Installation only takes a couple of minutes.
  • It connects seamlessly to the server;
  • They are true to their name. You will connect to the web with a single touch by pressing “connect”;
  • You register simply by connecting with Facebook, Google+, Twitter, or your email; and
  • They have “improving battery life” and “improving wireless Internet stability” and “bandwidth improvement.”

It has many advertisements; and
They constantly harass you for an honest opinion.

While the positives may outnumber the negatives (attributed to the standard actions a free app performs) when it comes to usability, quantity is not necessarily equal to quality.

While testing their PC application, we discovered that they were using fake VPN servers. Although we were connected to the US server, it was showing “France” instead.

fake locations
Article: Touch VPN Review in 2021

After that, we found it difficult to reconnect to the US server, perhaps thanks to the servers that were being produced. It was only after several tries that we were finally ready to do it.

Together, these details make Touch VPN at best incomplete. We say, therefore, that the usability of Touch VPN gave us mixed feelings.

If you’re trying to find a secure VPN to use exclusively on your Android, you’d better be listed among our top picks for the best VPN apps for Android.

Bad Customer Support

Touch VPN uses email-based customer support. While we really can’t expect them to provide 24/7 chat support (as is the standard for most top-tier paid VPNs), we hope they are at least ready to answer our questions in our moment of need.

We test their customer support by sending them 2 questions via the “feedback” function on their PC and Android apps and then waiting for their responses.

At the time this review was written, it’s been over 24 hours from the time we posted those questions and they still haven’t responded to either one.

It’s not an honest sign in the least, as this suggests that if you ever run into an urgent problem with your VPN that is preventing you from using it …

touchvpn beta

–You will have to wait a long time each day before getting your answers and being able to use your VPN again.

They Only Have 25 Servers Around the World

“I tend to travel tons. Wherever do I use Touch VPN?”

Unfortunately not.

Touch VPN only has 40 servers worldwide. While it will be ready to go without a hitch in most countries, there are places (like New Zealand or anywhere in Africa) where they just aren’t available.

With all that said:

We list other server features that you may find useful:

  • SSL encryption: it is the most common security protocol. It provides a secure channel between your device and therefore the server you are connecting to.
  • Use any number of devices: There is no limit to the percentage of devices you will connect with because it is free. You don’t need to find an account with them because all you would like to register is your Facebook, Google+, Twitter, or just your email.

Okay Protocols, but Limited Device Support

Touch VPN offers the OpenVPN UDP, TCP, and HydraVPN protocols. That is good on the surface.

However, there is a huge lack of support on most devices. Do not create routers, smart TVs, or game consoles.

Currently, you can get Touch VPN through a variety of basic app stores, such as Google or the Windows App Store.

But here’s the thing.

Try clicking on your parent company’s site,, and you will get this:

Um, what?

There is no website running. And even though it had been running, does this “tech” company use the Wix website builder for their site?

Run and hide.

Do We Recommend Touch VPN?

Not really.

Here at MillerReviews, we have already established the risks of using free VPNs. The moment you sign up, Touch VPN records your personal information and saves it to sell to third parties.

Don’t be tempted by the fact that it’s free, and save yourself from a world of leaks, viruses, and vague practices.

If you’re looking to find the right VPN to chill you out for cheap, we recommend that you just take a look at our top cheapest VPNs.
