Trust.Zone Review in 2022

Although there are several dedicated streaming servers, only the one primarily located in the US is active. I used it to undertake the unblocking of popular streaming services and was able to access HBO with no problem.

Unfortunately, I can’t say the same about Netflix or DAZN. I once had problems trying to unblock Netflix, so I didn’t like it as much as HBO. Also, DAZN was inaccessible.

So, if you want to unblock many streaming platforms, you will be able to select one of the most effective VPNs for streaming and use it for the sole real purpose of watching geo-blocked content.

Speeds were pretty reasonable, but they weren’t very consistent, especially when it came to transferring speeds. I felt compelled to use OpenVPN for these tests as the different protocols it offers (FTP, SSH/SCP/SFTP, HTTP, HTTPS) are not normally used for VPNs.

However, you can create IKEv2, L2TP/IPSec, WireGuard, and SOCKS5 configurations together to achieve good speeds. the only problem is that you will need to transfer an additional code consumer for each device and configure it manually. So, if you don’t mind going through a couple of extra setup steps, you’ll be able to get trendy protocols on this VPN as well.

All of those protocols support AES encryption, which means no matter which one you select, you may be exploiting AES-256 encryption. Also, keep in mind that some of the protocols are old and vulnerable to attack.

It’s also important to note that when I was browsing the internet, I noticed a big difference in speed/latency. Possibly a part of your system was full as I don’t normally experience such issues once I use other VPNs.

Security

When it comes to encryption, all protocols except WireGuard and SOCKS5 use AES-256 encryption, which is standard in the trade. It is an excellent option to protect your information.

This VPN also has an associated option to use FTP as a tunneling protocol, which is infamous for being insecure. I strongly advise you to avoid it, also because of HTTP. Excluding these, different tunneling protocols that Trust.zone offers secure area unit.

Another security feature that this VPN provides is the kill switch. Overall it’s a useful attribute, however, I wouldn’t say it’s applied in a very easy way like in different VPNs with a kill switch.

During verification, it disabled all network traffic once I was disconnected from a VPN server. In simple terms, you need to manually disable it before trying to connect to at least one of the Trusts.zone VPN servers.

Also, it is DNS leak protection. even assuming it is disabled by default, you can manually modify this feature. However, only in Windows, iOS, and golem applications.

Features

Trust.zone can be an easy app that isn’t packed with advanced options. It is good for users looking for basic VPN services.

Trust.zone options include:

  • Auto-connect
  • Auto start
  • Off switch
  • DNS leak protection
  • Prevention of DDoS attacks
  • Forwarding of ports
  • Double VPN

It is worth mentioning that the Double VPN feature is one of the most advanced. it is designed to route your traffic through 2 separate servers to further extend the amount of computing protection.

However, not all option area units are accessible on preferred devices. for example, the kill switch and DNS leak protection will only be used on Windows. Also, you have to pay extra to get protection against DDoS attacks and thus the port forwarding feature.

Pricing

SubscriptionPrice
1 month$8.88/month
1 year$3.33/month
2 years$2.33/month
Trust.Zone Review in 2022

You can get Trust.zone VPN from $2.33/month if you select the 2-year subscription package. it is a quite normal annual value, but the monthly subscription is relatively expensive. However, you will be able to get a tenth discount if you subscribe to cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin, Emercoin, Verge, or CloakCoin.

Add-onPrice
Dedicated IP address$1.57-$8.97/month
(depending on the server you choose)
Dedicated IP address with port forwarding$2.13-$3.14/month
(depending on the server you choose)
DDoS protection$0.85/month
3 simultaneous connections$0.68/month

It is important to note that you will get many options for additional value. However, I would like options like DDoS protection and three other connections to be included in the base subscription. Especially since other VPN service providers offer many synchronous connections by default and Trust.zone offers only 3.

Also, you will be able to get a 3-day free trial to verify the VPN. That’s a relatively small range of days, as the other VPNs with a free trial let you do them at least once a week.

Also, it does not have a regular money-back guarantee. Instead, Trust.zone only allows you to request a refund at intervals for the first ten days if you used less than 1GB of traffic.

Applications

Trust.zone only has apps for Windows, iOS, and golem. Users of macOS and UNIX systems will find guides on how to manually originate an association to their servers.

What I found surprising is that your windows app works with windows XP, and your golem app will run on golem 4.4, whereas most other vendors would only have guides for manual connections for much older systems.

The user interface itself isn’t the most pleasing to the eye, it makes you want to be a kid on your Windows XP laptop. though barring that, the app is easy to navigate, although things like the ability to search for a server aren’t accessible. which could make things easier in some situations.

Of course, golem TV and Firestick apps are out of the question with this provider, especially since it’s terrible at unblocking streaming services.

Customer Support

Trust.zone customer support is not nice – you will be able to accept your listing or submit a price ticket. the customer support team always takes at least once a day or usually almost every week to reply.

Their responses are very short and to the point, which can be both a good and a bad issue as there is no corporate fluff, but also some responses can come across as unprofessional.

Conclusion

Trust.zone is a reasonable VPN that offers basic options. While it wouldn’t be a decent alternative, almost like Opera VPN for tech-savvy people, regular World Health Organization users looking easy VPN services may find it useful.

However, keep in mind that it will not unblock Netflix or other streaming platforms which are many insecure protocols. So, if you want premium tools, you should consider getting one of the best VPNs that can deliver high-quality services.
