A: There is no such thing as a one-size-fits-all diet, in my opinion. Genetics, medical history, diagnoses, long-term viability, and other influences all affect what the most basic diet is for a person.
However, the idea of any diet I recommend for a selected person (be it low carb, Mediterranean, Dash, Paleo, or keto) is that it is rich in plants and provides adequate fiber to feed your gut bacteria.
