Hostinger Review (2024): Features, Pricing & More!

Hostinger is today one of the market’s most profitable shared hosting services. Let’s Dive into Detailed Hostinger Review.

They started in 2007 as 000webhost.com, a free ad-free web server. Then the Hostinger web hosting brand was born in 2011.

Hostinger has also reached a user base of ten million individuals as of May 2014. The user base had grown to 29 million people in January 2017.

Hostinger

This is a reasonably remarkable improvement in just over a decade … and therefore the company has many unlimited and free features. But are all those additional perks really free and unlimited?

We check it ourselves, so it’s not necessary paying for a real, real plan with Hostinger. Then we discovered our own website and started observing its performance for a year.

Want to know how good (or bad) Hostinger is? Let’s look at this web host’s pros and cons.

Pros of Hostinger

The free or unrestricted options don’t mean much if the site can’t stay online.

Hostinger review Pros

Our website had high speeds, great service, and more with Hostinger.

Let’s see what else they shine on.

1. Fast Load Time – 345 ms

Fast page load times are vital to any website user’s experience with a site.

Have you ever tried to open an internet page only to urge stuck waiting for the location to load for what seems like years?

We all have.

Also, you almost certainly didn’t stay long. If a website takes about three seconds to load, more than 30% of people abandon it.

In the US, Asia, and Europe, Hostinger has servers in (UK). Each is reportedly connected to a 1000Mbps connection, ensuring that load times are stable.

How did our tests go?

Hostinger delivered an average page load time of 345 ms for the last 12 months. Although they need slower speeds to show this year, they are still faster than most of the opposing hosts we’ve reviewed.

2. 30-Day Money-Back Guarantee

Hostinger offers many different payment options, such as Visa, Paypal, Mastercard, Discover, Bitcoin, Maestro, American Express, and JCB.

They also offer a 30-day money-back guarantee. So you will test them and get a refund if the performance or experience is inferior.

Please note that not all products are refundable, and some products have special refund terms in accordance with Hostinger’s Refund Policy. We’ll save the fine print for the cons section below.

3. Multilingual Customer Support

Customer support can make or break an Internet server.

If your site is down for some reason and you can’t urge to tune in to a customer support person as soon as possible, you may lose a lot of sales.

Hostinger does not disappoint. The company offers a multilingual customer service team and live chat, and they integrated Intercom as their main network.

However, live chat is accessible if you are logged into a Hostinger account. (See # 1 for details). We’re glad Hostinger offers live chat, but it might make more sense if they offered it to everyone.

Accessing live chat is extremely easy. Once logged in, an icon will instantly appear in the lower right corner of the page.

We asked some technical questions, informed ourselves, and protected ourselves through links from the customer service representative.

However, it took little time to urge the responses (they had a waiting time of approximately half an hour …).

With short and informative posts, Hostinger also has a large knowledge base; you can find guides, details, and answers to questions independently. They also have guides on how to do things (from website building to SEO) that include gifs and photos.

In the knowledge base, users can search for articles or select from three categories:

  • Website
  • Domains
  • General

4. Free Website Builder and Domain Name

For whatever package you choose, Hostinger offers a free website builder (famous website builders are better, though) on their services. There are several distinct versions to pick from as well.

 hostinger review

Once you have chosen a template, you will customize everything on your pages using Hostinger’s website builder.

In addition to the website builder, free domain names are also available with Premium and Business web hosting plans, which can avoid a touch of cash at the end of the day.

If you want a domain, you will have to pay more. More on this later.

5. Easy-to-Use Interface

Hostinger offers a contemporary and easy-to-use interface where you will find everything you want in one place.

That way, you can keep track of logins, update billing information, manage your domains, and monitor emails from your dashboard.

The dashboard is not a standard cPanel, but the large icons make it easy to find exactly what you would like once you need it.

hostinger review

Few experienced users could lack cPanel, but this edition is excellent for having a website up and running for beginners who are still finding their way around.

6. Unlimited Features With Premium and Business Plans

If you sign up for one of the two highest Hostinger plans, you will get access to unlimited email accounts at no charge.

Managing those accounts right from the dashboard means there’s no guesswork about spam filters, usage, and more.

You can find autoresponders, enable or disable accounts, and forward emails sent to a customer’s domain.

Bandwidth and databases are unlimited for many plans, with the exception of the “Single Web Hosting” plan.

With the latter, you are limited to 10GB of disk space, 100GB of bandwidth, a MySQL database, and an email account.

7. Industry-Standard Pricing Tricks but Still Affordable

In a false light, several web hosting businesses advertise their rates. Hostinger is one of those firms, but they are more straightforward than many others about it.

For example, if you want to take advantage of the incredible $0.99 per month offer for individual shared hosting, you will need to plan for Hostinger for 48 months. After those years, your renewal cost will increase to $2.99/month.

If you’re willing to plan an equivalent web host for four years, then it’s an incredible bargain for that amount of time. It could be quite safe compared to most other hosts.

A low price generally means that some quality sacrifices have been made, but in the case of Hostinger, the service they provide is indeed very good compared with other web hosting service providers.

Cons of Hostinger

I like many things about Hostinger’s loading speeds, quality of support, and features.

Hostinger review Cons

Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a perfect web server, and Hostinger, like other hosts, has some flaws. The trick is to decide which flaws you’ll accept and which ones will break the deal.

Here’s a rundown of what’s not so perfect about Hostinger.

1. Inconsistent Uptime 99.74% (They Had Three Poor Months of Uptime)

Uptime is the most important thing to consider when considering an internet server.

Hostinger delivered an average of 99.74% uptime with almost 23 hours of downtime over the last year. This was not what we expected. In previous years, Hostinger has been showing reliable uptime results, so we better analyze to determine what could have caused this below-average uptime.

Hostinger’s performance appears to have been very reliable for nine months when uptime has ranged from 99.95% to 100%. However, in September, November, and December 2020, the uptime was 97.89%99.89%, and 99.32%, respectively, which affected the general average.

hostinger review

Last 12-month average uptime:

  • January 2022: 99.99%
  • December 2021: 99.32%
  • November 2021: 99.89%
  • October 2021: 99.94%
  • September 2021: 97.89%
  • August 2021: 99.98%
  • July 2021: 99.99%
  • June 2021: 99.99%
  • May 2021: 99.98%
  • April 2021: 99.99%
  • March 2021: 99.97%
  • February 2021: 100%

2. No Traditional cPanel

Most hosting providers use a conventional control panel, like cPanel.

Hostinger has developed its own control panel. This can be easier for novice users to use than a conventional control panel. However, you don’t like your dashboard if you’re still used to using cPanel.

Therefore, this part could not be enjoyed by advanced users.

3. Nonstandard Payment Terms

Hostinger’s return policy discloses a few exceptions to their money-back promise.

In normal words, what is refundable:

  • Hosting for (all plans except the first payment after the free trial)
  • Domain Transfers (.eu transfers are an exception. EURid charges a non-refundable transfer fee. If the transfer fails for any reason, the client must start over and pay the transfer fee again .Es transfers are also non-refundable ).
  • Certified with SSL

What’s not refundable:

Costs for reimbursement, domain name renewals, and preservation of privacy are non-refundable. Many new domain name registrations are only refundable if canceled and processed within four days of registration, not within 30 days.

Before proceeding, keep these exceptions in mind.

Do We Recommend Hostinger?

Yes.

Hostinger provides excellent speed. Their uptime has been a bit inconsistent over the last 12 months, but overall, it has been strong if we exclude the three months in which they performed below average.

The basic single web hosting plan doesn’t offer many unlimited benefits or free features. There is far more to come with the Premium, Cloud Computing, and Enterprise Web Hosting plans. If you are not impressed with their operation, Hostinger even provides a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Also, in case you want help, the customer service is responsive, knowledgeable, and friendly.

We could not recommend these plans more.
